How To Take the Guesswork Out of Texting

It happens to everyone. We get so many text messages throughout the day, we become overwhelmed. When this happens we tend to forget some of the common protocols of texting.
Worse, we can become rude.
Here are 5 ways to take the guesswork out of finding texting numbers. If you pay close attention to this list, you might learn a thing or two about how to avoid being overwhelmed.  Who knows, you might even become good at texting and eventually even sexting.

Don't make excuses. Period

1) Don't overuse the,"I lost my phone or it wasn't plugged in" excuse. First of all, you should never have an "again" attached at the end of any sentence. Being dishonest is a bad habit to get into because you will likely keep doing it.
If you have lost your phone, then you cannot apologize in the text the same day, it just makes you look stupid.  The truth, I lost track of time is a much better option.
2) The second thing you should focus on is your contact list. If some of them are actually on a social platform, then try to sync them up. Once you have contacts on your social page, it should take the guesswork out of the equation. If they do not text back and are not online, you will know that they either don't want to or don't intend to.  This is helpful when trying to see if someone is worth pursuing.
3) Unless you are in an intimate texting conversation with someone, or you know them personally, don't follow them on social media.  It is called stalking. When it comes to following a text number, you need to chill and wait for them to provide you more details.

Know Who You Are Talking To

4) If you get a message that reads "long time, no see"and cannot remember,  there is a savvy way to decipher it. Just text back something like "I know, right! When was the last time we saw each other?" Depending on how the person answers, this should give you some clue about who he or she might be. In this case, the awkwardness is avoided completely. You won't have to feel guilty for not knowing who they are right away.
5)  If you are having issues identifying the number, just go through a phone book. Better still, go online and do a number search. There are lots of resources online to help you do this.  Whatever you do, do not tell them you did it.
There are some sites that will charge you for more advanced searches. You don't need those. All you need is the name and number.
Once you master texting then you should be able to dabble in sexting and really heat things up.
